335,000 Kansas Miles and a lot of Scars

Putting 335,000 miles on your pickup truck in America’s heartland gives you a lot of time to think. That’s exactly what happened to Handigate Ramps inventor Bill Kern from Wamego Kansas.

Bill, along with his friends are avid ATV riders. Whenever Bill and his friends get together with other riders there was always an exchange of their best riding stories. This also included a show and tell of all the various scars everyone had received from their various “incidents” with their ATV. Many times the cause of these mishaps inevitability came while loading or unloading their ATV off the truck. “I hit the gas too hard and the left ramp spun right out from underneath me” “I thought the planks I was using would hold the weight . . . I was wrong” were common stories amongst the riders.

Bill thought there had to be a better way. What if I could create a great set of secure ramps that also worked as your tailgate so you would never be without your ramps he wondered. After much thought and a lot of welding and re-welding the first Handigate Ramps prototype was born. After “field testing” (as Bill described it to his wife) the ramps with many weekend ATV rides, modifications were made and the Handigate Ramps system was born.

We know the Handigate Ramps system will provide you with years of safe loading of all your recreational and heavy equipment.
